It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Craig Dickson, VP/group publisher of the dental group at Endeavor Business Media.
For 27 years Craig has played an integral role in the growth of the RDH and DE platforms. He began his journey in the mid-1990s in sales, and through his accomplishments moved into a management position and was promoted to publisher in 2000. Understanding the dental hygiene community, he introduced the RDH Under One Roof conference in 2001. Today, UOR is the largest dental hygiene conference in North America, with an expected attendance of 2,100 dental hygienists this year.
In typical Craig Dickson style, he credits his achievements to having a fantastic team and support from numerous companies he has worked with in the dental arena. He has built an internal team that thrives on success, leaving us with a wealth of knowledge and the ability to continue being a driving force in the dental field.
If you want the opportunity to personally thank Craig for all he has done for the dental profession, be sure to attend RDH Under One Roof 2024 from July 18–20 in Denver, Colorado, where we plan to give him the recognition he so deserves.
In this issue we recognize the Philips Heart to Hands Award winners. You will have the opportunity to read about three individuals who are also leaving a memorable mark on our profession. This award, established in 2017, is presented to three deserving dental hygienists who find joy in giving back.
Content this month will focus on teamwork, collaboration, and oral cancer awareness. Brittny Murphy shares information on ADD and sleep habits. Amber Auger talks about sugar and insulin resistance, and you won’t want to miss the insights provided by Michele White on face and neck dermatology screenings. This issue is packed with information the clinician will read repeatedly.
Congratulations, Craig, you will be missed by many!
