Ultradent Products, Inc., a leader in the field of esthetic dentistry, recently introduced Vitalescence™, a composite resin that offers clinicians an artistic, 26-shade, premier sculpting system.

Vitalescence™ is a Bis-GMA-based, micro-hybrid composite resin with the strength and wear-resistance of a hybrid and the radiance and polishability of a microfill. Its natural characteristics make Vitalescence™ an ideal choice for anterior composite restorations, including direct veneers, while its strength and wear resistance make it the composite of choice for posterior restorations.

Unlike other composites, Vitalescence™ is both fluorescent and opalescent, mimicking natural-tooth structure. The low-translucency, high-fluorescence dentin shades combined with the high-translucency, opalescent enamel shades facilitate superior reproduction of natural dentin and enamel.

The Vitalescence™ Master Kit contains 26 dentin and enamel shades in 2.5g syringes and one handmade, all-composite shade guide, facilitating superior shade-matching.
