Optiva Corp. announces a voluntary and precautionary recall of all charger bases for Sonicare models manufactured from Sept. 3 through Oct. 30, 1996.
- The company discovered one defective charger base that was shipped without electrical insulation. Although no injury was reported with the unit, an uninsulated coil in the charger base is an electrical hazard.
- Optiva encourages a response to the recall by shipping a replacement charger base immediately upon being contacted by a customer.
- The following manufacturing lots were affected: 19636, 19637, 19639, 19640, 19641, 19642, 19643, and 19644.
