As students: After getting her bachelor's degree in psychology, Jean (right) graduated from John County Community College in Kansas in 1979. Shirley graduated from New York City Community College in 1974. She said she "interviewed 21 first cousins" for career advice. "One was a hygienist and she said it was a great profession."
On a daily basis: Both work for Dr. Arnold Becker in Sherman Oaks, and Dr. Larry Kozek in Beverly Hills. Jean said, 'I love motivating my patients towards good health, seeing their improvement, and the wonderful relationships I have formed with them.'
About them: Best friends since childhood and current neighbors, they each have two grown sons and a husband named Steven. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys yoga, cooking, and needlepoint, while Jean relaxes through baking, walking, Pilates, and writing poetry.
