Brandi Mazzarella, RDH, currently practices four days a week at a general/cosmetic dental practice in the Phoenix area. But her long-range goal is to head up a dental hygiene program at a university.
“My long-term career plans include becoming a director of a dental hygiene program,” she said. “Dental hygiene education is a passion of mine as I have spent five years of my career as an adjunct dental hygiene instructor — two years in Florida (Hillsborough Community College) and three years in Arizona (Rio Salado Community College). Coaching students with the same passion for dental hygiene brings me great reward.”
Brandi grew up in Tampa, Fla., and graduated from St. Petersburg college with her associate's degree in 2000. She obtained her bachelor's degree through the university's online program in 2005, completing it from her new residence in Arizona. She also became certified in anesthesia.
Brandi recently married, and resides with her husband, Jeff, in Phoenix. For relaxation, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, hiking, and reading. She returns to Florida approximately three times a year to visit her family.
